DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY
- Arrive and meet your JE Tour Director at the airport
- Head up the mountain to Hacienda Alsacia coffee plantation and enjoy your first cup of Costa Rica coffee and a great view (if time allows – depending on flight)
- Check into hotel in San Jose
- Dinner at a local restaurant
- Orientation & devotions
DAY 2: FORTUNA / WATERFALL / HOT SPRINGS
- Breakfast at hotel & check out
- Load the bus & transfer to Fortuna
- Check into a hotel in Fortuna
- Lunch
- Hike down to the Fortuna Waterfall
- Return to the hotel
- Dinner at local restaurant
- Enjoy the hotel’s hot springs
- Debrief & devotions
DAY 3: HANGING BRIDGES / LAVA FLOW TRAIL / NIGHT HIKE
- Breakfast at hotel
- Spend the morning on a guided hanging bridges tour led by a naturalist guide
- Observe the fauna & flora of the tropical rainforest along with wildlife sightings
- Lunch
- Afternoon hike on the lava flow trail from the 1968 eruption
- Learn about the rainforest wildlife & volcanic activity in Costa Rica
- Dinner at local restaurant
- Night hike in the nocturnal rainforest
- Debrief & devotions
DAY 4: CANOPY ZIP-LINE / OX CART FACTORY
- Breakfast at hotel & check out
- Morning canopy zip line experience
- Lunch at local restaurant
- Stop to shop in Sarchí at the local ox cart factory
- Dinner at local restaurant
- Transfer to San Jose & check into hotel
- Debrief & devotions
DAY 5: CATAMARAN / PUNTA ETERNIA
- Breakfast at hotel
- Transfer to Puntarenas
- Board a catamaran & travel to Punta Eternia
- Spend the day swimming, hiking, kayaking, playing volleyball & relaxing
- Lunch
- Afternoon banana boat ride
- Board the catamaran & travel back to Puntarenas
- Dinner at hotel
- Debrief & devotions

- Breakfast (if flight time permits)
- Transfer to airport

- Whitewater rafting on the Sarapiqui River

- Dinner at local restaurant
- Enjoy the hotel’s hot springs & game room

DAY 3: CAVING / FORTUNA WATERFALL / NIGHT HIKE

- Hike down to the Fortuna Waterfall

- Night hike in the nocturnal rainforest with a bilingual naturalist guide

- Afternoon VBS program for local children: plan/organize crafts, share Bible stories & verses, and create games for children ages 5-12

DAY 7: CATAMARAN CRUISE
- Breakfast at hotel
- Transfer to Puntarenas
- Board the catamaran & travel to Punta Eternia
