OVERVIEW

Watch the Bible come to life in front of your eyes as your group explores the ancient land of Israel on the Holy Land Tour. Your group will sail on the Sea of Galilee, pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, rejoice at the Garden Tomb, and so much more! You will never be the same after you journey down these ancient roads and walk the same roads as Jesus, Paul, and other notable Biblical figures.

ITINERARY

DAYS 1-2: TRAVEL DAY

DAY 3: CAESAREA / NAZARETH

  • Breakfast
  • Travel to Caesarea
  • Explore the Roman Amphitheatre & Aqueducts (Acts 25)
  • Travel to Nazareth (Luke 4:16)
  • Visit the Church of Annunciation
  • Continue on to the Sea of Galilee
  • Dinner

DAY 4: GALILEE

  • Breakfast
  • Visit Kibbutz Nof Ginosar to the Ancient Boat of Ginosar
  • Journey out onto the Sea of Galilee by boat (Matthew 14:26)
  • Lunch
  • Spend time in prayer and worship at the Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5, 6, & 7)
  • Explore Capernaum, one of Jesus’ bases of ministry (Luke 7)
  • Stop by Tabgha and the Church of the Loaves and Fishes (Matthew 14:13-21)
  • Travel to the Jordan River baptisms (Matthew 3:1-6)

DAY 5: BEIT SHE’AN / JERICHO

  • Breakfast and check out of hotel
  • Depart for Beit She’an and explore the ancient Roman city (1 Chronicles 7:29)
  • Travel to Jericho and stop for lunch on the way
  • Visit the ruins of Jericho (Joshua 6)
  • Continue on to Jerusalem
  • Dinner

DAY 6: DEAD SEA*    

*Today, you will want to pack a towel and a change of clothes for an optional swim in the Dead Sea.

  • Breakfast
  • Depart to visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered
  • Continue South towards Masada and stop for lunch
  • Take a cable car to visit the palace of Masada
  • Head north to take an optional dip in the Dead Sea (Genesis 14:3)
  • Head back to Jerusalem
  • Take a break at the hotel to freshen up
  • Dinner

DAY 7: JERUSALEM    

  • Breakfast
  • Head to the Haas Promenade for a panoramic view of Jerusalem
  • Learn about the Haas Promenade and Mount Moriah (2 Chronicles 3:1)
  • Continue on to the Mount of Olives
  • Standing on the Mount of Olives, you can see the Dome of the Rock (Zechariah 14:4)
  • Visit the Chapel of the Ascension and spend time in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:44)
  • Break for lunch
  • View the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace (Matthew 2/Luke 2)
  • A time of prayer and worship at Shepherd’s Field (Luke 2:8-20)
  • This afternoon enjoy some free time in the city for shopping
  • Dinner

DAY 8: JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast
  • Depart for the day
  • Visit the revered Upper Room and David’s Tomb (1 Kings 2 & Luke 22:7-39)
  • Witness the Pool of Bethesda and worship in St. Anne’s Church (John 5)
  • See the view Herod’s Antonia Fortress once had
  • Walk the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matthew 15)
  • Break for lunch
  • Walk through the Cardo
  • Travel to the Southern Wall excavations of the ancient Temple, the Teaching Steps, and the Western Wall
  • Dinner

DAY 9: ELN KAREM / GARDEN TOMB    

  • Breakfast
  • Head out to Ein Karem to explore the birthplace of John the Baptist, where Mary visited Elizabeth (Luke 1)
  • Return to Jerusalem and break for lunch
  • Take time to shop at the Jaffa Gate (make sure to haggle for the best prices!)
  • Visit the Garden Tomb and spend time in prayer and worship (Matthew 27:33-35)
  • Dinner

DAY 10: TRAVEL DAY    

  • Hotel check out
  • Head to the airport to begin the journey home
