Explore the wonders of ancient Greece, focusing on the famous mainland’s cities. You will travel from Athens to the monastery community of Meteora and finally Thessaloniki. Get your camera ready for this journey that will take you through the beauty and diversity of mainland Greece.

DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY

Arrive at the Thessaloniki Airport and meet your JE Tour Director

DAY 3: THESSALONIKI

Breakfast
Tour Thessaloniki with a local guide and see the White Tower, the Byzantine Walls of the Acropolis, the Arch of Galerius and the Rotunda
Visit two of the city’s oldest churches: the Hagios Demetrios and Hagios Sophia
Dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 4: METEORA

Breakfast
Travel by coach south through the Greek countryside
Tour the Meteora Monasteries
Check-in at your hotel in Kalambaka
Dinner at the hotel

DAY 5: DELPHI

Breakfast
Departure for the day and continue heading south through Greece
Visit the Delphi Archeological Site & Museum
Dinner in Delphi

DAY 6: OLYMPIA

Breakfast
Departure from your hotel for tour
Visit Olympia site – Ancient excavations of the Olympic Games and Archaeological Museum of Ancient Olympia
Dinner at the hotel in Olympia

DAY 7: ANCIENT CORINTH

Breakfast
Visit Ancient Corinth – the Archaeological Museum, the Forum, the Acrocorinth, and the famous Bema
Dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 8: ATHENS

Breakfast
View the exterior of the Parliament Building & the ceremonial Changing of the Guard
Climb the Areopagus Hill (Mars Hill)
Explore the National Archeological Museum
Visit the Acropolis and see the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the site of the first modern Olympic Games
Walk by the Arch of Hadrian, the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the site of the first modern Olympic Games
See the Panathenaic Stadium
Dinner on Mt. Lycabetus
